A fun statistic is that about 15% of spa clientele today are men – they no longer feel uncomfortable with treating themselves and taking care of their body, mind and spirit in a healing way. Everyone may benefit from time spent under the hands of a professional masseuse and taking time for themselves. Imagine – getting a massage that leaves you feeling ultimate relaxation or indulging in a pedicure or facial that keeps your skin looking healthy as can be. Spas are a place to restore the body, mind and soul back to peace.

Not convinced?

We work under hectic conditions and try to squeeze in sleep where we can; then repeat. All this running around is causing major stress to our bodies. Relief is way overdue. If you are one of those people feeling soreness they cannot shake, suffering from chronic tension headaches, restless sleepers and more. Let us elucidate the many benefits associated with seeing a masseuse at a spa –  it may even convince you to make an appointment right away.

Muscle Recovery

We all know that muscle recovery is important, not just for professional athletes, but for weekend warriors, john doe with a busy work schedule and all the occasional exercisers out there. Getting a massage may provide release of tension in your muscles, ultimately decreasing your level of soreness. Without the chance to recover your muscles cannot grow stronger than they were before, and your performance may suffer. It is time to take advantage of spa services, go outside your box and experience relief of that dreaded cramping neck, low back pain and more.

Cleansing & Hydrating Skin

It is said that having a massage will leave you feeling cleansed, refreshed and healthier. For example, the pressure on our skin helps moisturize and may stimulate toxin release. You will find yourself leaving the room with a sleepy smile and eyes that gleam with true relaxation. All the while leaving you feeling younger, healthier and almost glowing.

Restful Sleep

Sleep is an essential part of human life itself; without it we may become crazed, anxious and our daily function level with significantly decrease. Those of you who cannot quiet those little squirrels in your head enough to drift off to sleep may seek options. Instead of looking towards medication try taking a holistic approach and visit a local spa for a stress-free massage. The benefits extend long after you leave the table – allowing you to redirect your mind, breathing and spirit to a state of recovery.

Decrease Stress

Stress and anxiety are no stranger to us – with the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives our levels of stress vary. The hidden secret to balancing a healthy life is to relieve that stress. Massages allow us to put down the phone, clear our minds and be treated to ultimate relaxation. One single session may significantly lower heart rate, cortisol and insulin levels in our bodies; all of which add to our stress. Imagine – taking a day where you focus on YOU and your inner peace alone.

After discussing a few, of many, benefits related to massage therapy – why not take advantage and treat yourself or another to tranquility. You will not regret taking an opportunity to recharge the mind, the body and spirit.

With Father’s Day around the corner, do not forget that treating a man in your life to a spa gift card will make them just as excited as you – even if they strive to keep it a deep dark secret. Your local salon, Fisher Experience is running a promo – you get a free $10.00 gift voucher for every $100.00 in gift cards. Take this chance to give the gift of relaxation to someone special in your life: your man, girlfriend, mother or even your father! Plus, you will get a bonus to spoil yourself too.

It got me when you said that undergoing a massage will help me have a more moisturized skin and stimulate toxin release due to the pressure applied. With that in mind, I will be booking a spa service this weekend since I noticed that my skin has been really dry at the moment. I am guessing that it's because of the changes in the temperature that I am experiencing. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks for explaining why it could be good to get massage. I actually didn't know that It could help you get sleep because it helps you redirect your mind and breathing. I'm interested to learn if a massage could really help those who may struggle with lack of sleep due to a condition they have.

It's surprising to read that a massage will help moisturize and may stimulate toxin release, leading to cleansed and healthier skin. My husband has severe back acne, and his back hurts a lot from sitting all day at work. I am going to find a chiropractic service that offers massages because I think that he can really benefit from this in more ways than one!

I am glad that you mentioned how massages can improve blood circulation, release tension, and decrease soreness in your body which can effectively reduce muscle aches and pains. My dad has been working in construction sites all his life, so I can only imagine the muscle pain that he has to deal with on a regular basis. I will be sure to advise him to go look for a massage therapist that can improve his blood flow to cope with all his aches and pains from his work.

Thanks for explaining how a message will be able to help you redirect your mind and sleep better. My son is on his final year of med school, and he has been working until the wee hours of the morning. The workload has caused him to start having troubles sleeping, so I will be sure to advise him to get a massage every now and then.

My wife has been getting bad back pains at night, so we are considering going to a massage therapist in town. I like your point about how a massage can help release tension in your muscles. Hopefully they can find the source of the problems so she can get a better nights rest.

I was surprised to read that having a massage will leave you feeling cleansed. It makes sense that this would happen because massages release toxins. I've never had a massage, but I would love to get one soon because of all of the benefits.

Getting a massage sounds like a great thing! My fiance and I have recently started working out, and our muscles are definitely sore. We'd love to get some relief, so I'll have to look into getting massages for us both. That would be awesome.
