THE DIANNE DEVANNA CENTER FOR THE
PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE

The Dianne DeVanna Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse was founded in 1978 after the death of 11-year-old Dianne DeVanna at the hands of her parents. She was buried in an unmarked grave. The South Shore community was shocked and angered and responded by raising money to purchase a headstone to give her the dignity in death that she not received in life. Since then, the Center has grown into a dynamic organization that provides many programs to protect abused children, and educate and assist families in crisis.

Each year, Fisher Experience adopts a family in need, through the Dianne DeVanna Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. The Center gives us a list of the family's needs; our whole staff chips-in to buy the needed items. The list ranges from toys to food gift cards; from diapers to books; from underwear to kitchen essentials. Debbie Davis from Fisher Experience organizes the program and delivers the gifts to the Center. We are so proud of our efforts this year on behalf of this family!

LOCKS OF LOVELocks of Love logo
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Fisher Experience is a proud supporter of Locks of Love. If you have hair that fits into a 10-or-more-inch ponytail, and would like to donate it to this wonderful cause, we will give you a free cut and style and will handle the transfer of your donation to Locks of Love.

LEE NATIONAL DENIM DAY

Did you know that one in every eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime? That's one every three minutes. There's something you can do to fight back against this disease, and we are asking for your help.

Lee National Denim Day is one of the largest single-day fundraisers for breast cancer. For the past 2 years, Fisher Experience employees joined millions of people nationwide and slipped into our favorite jeans. Each of our participating employees made a $10 donation to support the Women's Cancer Programs of EIF, who bring together world-class scientists to develop an early detection blood test and working in Lee Labs nationwide to find less toxic, more effective treatments for breast cancer patients.
